5th March
first sensory friendly gig at Daltons
The first sensory friendly gig hosted by Nerotune! Similar to a TV pilot, a lot of things were different at this gig compared to what we have now. A big drum shield on stage, 3 bands with 30 minute sets and a long speech by the founder at the end.
The night kicked off with Math rock band Bench Team playing a mix of originals and iconic covers such as ‘Never meant’ (American Football) and ‘Covet’ (Basement). The second act was another Math Rock band known as ‘Jeff Ubetcha’ who performed all originals with their signature tap guitar licks and duo vocals.
The headliner of the night was 70s rock inspired ‘Brainface’. They played a high energy 45 minute set featuring a bonus cover of ‘Jailhouse rock’ (Elvis Presley). This had the crowd on their feet whilst keeping volume under 90 Db and without any need for flashing lights.
12th September
wATERBEAR MUSIC BAR sensory friendly GIG
Our first sensory friendly gig at the recently opened ‘Waterbear Music Bar’ as well the start of the current format of our gigs.
The night opened with intimate acoustic acts Ela Redfern and Lucretia Strokes. Afterwards, ‘Crimson’ opened the bands section of the night with their crowd pleasing indie rock. The night relaxed with folk trio ‘Krumpets’ buttering the stage with their mixed electronic sound.
Originally, Latin rock outfit ‘Yourmothersblanket’ was meant to headline the night however due to unforseen circumstances their set had to be postponed for the next gig. Despite this, the night was a ‘sensory friendly’ roaring success!
7th October
Daltons sensory friendly GIG
The second sensory friendly gig at Daltons. This night featured singer songwriter acoustic acts ‘Kait' (Also known as ‘Stillunlikely’) and ‘Fordy’ warming up the crowd. Kait performed their debut single “Speak the words” to much excitement.
‘Clementine’ took to stage with their tight grooves and smooth vocals. They became a real crowd favourite by the end of their set. Next up was previously postponed ‘Yourmothersblanket’ with a thrilling latin style rock n roll performance. They even took the time to capture a selfie with the crowd.
Finally, alt rock trio ‘Smoke Filled Room’ finished the night with their experimental mix of shoegaze and prog rock. A very captivating performance!

Sensory friendly Xmas!
Nerotune’s final sensory friendly gig of 2025 ended with a festive night at Waterbear Music Bar. Pretty xmas themed lights and Santa announcing every act, it was a jolly night to cap off 2025.
Opening the night was ‘Wispre’ who did a cover of Wham classic “Last christmas” to get people in the festive spirit. The second acoustic act was ‘Nimah O’ Leary’ performing her unique discography with songs that covered topics such as her experience as an autistic woman.
Onto bands, ‘Ponceau’ kicked off the band section with their funky and soulful songs such as “One more time” and “Waste my time”. Next up was dream rock outfit ‘Tell Me Again’. An interesting sound of distorted fretless bass and funky drums surprised the audience in a good way.
Ending off the night was Will E Blay’s ‘Horrible Lot’. Their set of a mix of jokes, storytelling and “funky punky” music capping off a festive sensory friendly gig.
Santa sadly had to return to the north pole after the gig. (why couldn’t he have stayed for a drink or two?)
