About Nerotune
Nerotune is a promotion company that hosts sensory friendly gigs designed to give everyone an easy step into the exciting world of live music.
Our nights showcase a wide range of different sounds from intimate acoustic acts to rocking bands all kept within a safe hearing level. The atmosphere is relaxed and open minded as demonstrated by the dimmer lights, quiet spaces and friendly community.
We frequently collaborate with local neurodivergent communities (such as Gig Buddies) to give people who may not typically attend gigs a chance to discover new bands, make friends and have a memorable evening.
Currently our sensory friendly gigs are hosted every 2 months, if you want to get involved please visit the contact page.
Our mission
Make attending gigs less overwhelming
Showcase a wide range of SOUNDS through our diverse line-ups
Create a new concept to encorage more people to attend live music
Build connection between attendees and form a strong community
Unlock a new stream of fans/customers for hosting venues and artists
Meet the Founder
My favourite pastime is attending live gigs as well as playing them with my rock band (Brainface). During my teenage years, I picked up the bass and began my love for music whilst attending a special needs secondary school called ‘Sunnydown’. (I am autistic)
After I graduated that school I started to notice how reluctant my peers were about going out and attending live music. Worse yet, the ones who actually came out suffered mistreatment from bouncers or judgement from insensitive people.
This ignited the fire in me to change the landscape and work on creating a new way of enjoying live music in an accommodating format. Fast forward to today, Nerotune is growing and I couldn’t be more excited for it!
It always warms my heart to see people (especially neurodivergent people) attend my sensory friendly gigs and enjoy the music, community and vibe of the night!
